Rasul responds to Emrys "There's no time to explain. I'll explain at breakfast. If you show up or not is your choice. I cant make you go." Rasul felt this groul was too big to begin with, nand now he was stuck with these halfwits. He remembered the days where he fought om the battlefields with nothing but his hammer to guide him. It seems that now he had to deal with his brothers, a crackpot, his son, his baby mama, and the girl rasul felt liked his son sort of.

William walked over to Emrys, "There's plenty of time to explain. This is the team that's going to study the disease spreading in the desert. The queen found fit to call on you with your knowledge of such things. The group is leaving tomorrow morning after a teambuilding breakfast. Any questions?"

((Seems like thats what Jordan wanted, since he didn't post))
Ari hadn't been able to sleep well the night before. Since she worked night shift, she was already pretty awake, but was able to drift off for a few hours before breakfast. She arrived at the diner a few minutes early, and was the first to be seated at what would grow to be a large table. She of course waited for the others before ordering, and took a sampler plate, with a little bit of everything. It took time for Ari to eat. She wanted to savor what she could before ending up on rations for who knows how long.

Rasul looks at her other recruit. she was strong-built. The Axe on her back was a clear sign of that. the airs she put on was well felt, and smelled of ego. Rasul dared not say anything at current as to not check and balenace his friend's ward

Emrys came into the diner, feeling a bit strange not being in his study, and immediately went for a cup of coffee. One look at him and anyone could tell he hadn't slept yet, as a night of curiosity about this disease had kept him researching even though he knew nothing about this one. He was fairly certain he'd be unable to bring his entire library with him so he tried to cram as much info as possible, knowing they'd soon be leaving.

Rengo and Linora had arrived at the diner along with Rasul and were both enjoying their breakfast knowing that it could be quite a while until their next opportunity to eat food like this. As Emrys came into the diner Rengo leaned in toward his father who he was sitting next to. "Do you know what that guy does?" he asked his father. "He doesn't seem to be carrying any weapons..."

Ari watched Lord Emeris curiously. While she was aware of the nobleman, she rarely dealt with members of the upper class. Those positions were served by people closer in rank to General Brann, so she was taking the time to study them while she could. That said, she felt like he wasn't exactly the norm, "So you're Lord Emeris then."

Rasul whispers in Rengo's ear " he's one of those Scholarly types. In some cases the Pen is mightier than the sword. Dont be fooled by his look"

Tazul and Lon enjoyed the hearty breakfast, as dwarves and dwarf-kin naturally do. Peggy the owner was out of Food for the day, but the fact Rasul is spending a pretty penny on this feast made up for it

Rengo listened to his father with awe. He found the idea of a powerful person wielding no weapon at all to be very intriguing.
"Wow, so he's a mage? Or...?" he asked, maybe a bit too loud.

"Hm? Oh yes. Sorry I'm not quite awake yet." Emrys gave Ari a rather warm smile as he took another sip of his coffee. He looked her over rather quickly and then pulled out a small vial and set it down in front of her. "Would you be willing to test this for me? You're about the right size for it. All I'd need is for you to drink it and tell me how you're feeling in a couple hours." Emrys hadn't heard the question about whether or not he was a mage.

Ari looks down at the vial, a little weirded out by the sudden request. It didn't look... or smell... anything like she'd drink regularly, "Would you mind if I asked what it's supposed to do, my lord?" She knew that Emrys was well known in the medical fields, but it was still an odd request for the breakfast table.
